At Life Community Church, we believe baptism is an ordinance by immersion, commanded in Scripture, symbolizing that you’ve died with Christ and risen to walk in new life.

Why Be Baptized?

• Because it’s commanded in Scripture.Jesus said in the Great Commission: “Go, make disciples… baptizing them…” (Matthew 28:19).
• To proclaim your new life in Christ.Baptism illustrates Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection—and what God has done in your life.

Who Should Be Baptized?

• Any believer who understands and trusts in Christ.We practice believer’s baptism—meaning we wait until someone is able to comprehend its significance and personally profess their faith.

What to Expect & What to Bring

• By immersion. Our baptisms are conducted by full immersion—step into the water, go under, and rise to new life.
• Modest attire recommended. Women should wear shorts and a top which will preserve modesty. Men can wear a swimsuit with a t-shirt. Don’t forget your towel, a change of clothes, and a plastic bag for your wet items.
• Commemorative T-Shirt. You’ll receive a free baptism shirt to wear during your baptism and take home afterward as a keepsake.
