Baby Dedication
What Are Baby Dedications?
Baby Dedications are special events where parents can formally stand together with Pastor Alan & Shelley Neel and dedicate the upbringing of their child to the glory of God. This is for children ages 12 and under. In this ceremony the parents make a commitment before the Lord to raise their child according to God’s Word and God’s ways.
NUMBERS 6:22-26
“Then the LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron and his sons to bless the children of Israel with this special blessing:
‘May the LORD bless you and protect you.
May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you.
May the LORD show you His favor and give you His peace.'”
MARK 10:13-16
“One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so He could touch and bless them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering Him. When Jesus saw what was happening, He was angry with His disciples.
He said to them, “Let the children come to Me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”
Then He took the children in His arms and placed His hands on their heads and blessed them.”
